Isaiah Collier’s Shooting Stroke Leads Jazz In First Quarter

HOUSTON, Texas- Sparkplug Collin Sexton set the tone, and rookie Isaiah Collier followed suit in a back-and-forth first quarter with the Houston Rockets.

The Rockets (49-27) are hosting the Jazz (16-60) at Toyota Center on Wednesday, April 2. Houston is second in the Western Conference, two games ahead of the Denver Nuggets. Utah entered the night with the worst record in the NBA.

The Jazz have split two games with Houston this season. In late February, Houston lost to the Jazz 124-115. The Rockets returned the favor on March 27 with a 121-110 win.

Sexton returned to the lineup with nine first quarter points, hitting four of six shots.

Collier hit his first three shots, including a pair of triples to keep pace with the Rockets.

The duo combined for 18 points, two assists, and a block in 15 minutes as Utah trailed 33-26 after one period.

Dillon Brooks led Houston with 10 points.
