SALT LAKE CITY – Indoor winter sports fans in Utah were spoiled last season as they enjoyed an NHL team’s inaugural season in Salt Lake City. The Beehive State welcomed the Utah Hockey Club, now Utah Mammoth, with open arms the previous spring, forging a Delta Center partnership with the NBA’s Utah Jazz.
Overnight, Salt Lake City joined 12 other cities in the U.S. to house NBA and NHL teams.
A year later, and the fanbases of both franchises will need a good calendar to make sure they’re following from October through, hopefully, spring playoff runs for each.
The Jazz and Mammoth are scheduled to play on the same night 25 times during the 2025-26 season, beginning with five November dates.

The fun gets started on Sunday, November 5, when the Mammoth host the Tampa Bay Lightning at Delta Center with a 1:30 p.m. MT puck drop. The Jazz will be in Charlotte, preparing for a 4 p.m. MT tipoff against the Charlotte Hornets.
Three days later, the Mammoth will be in Toronto, while the Jazz take on the Detroit Pistons. A 5 p.m. MT start for both games creates difficult choices for fans across the state.
The final doubleheader of the month comes the day after Thanksgiving, when the Jazz host the Sacramento Kings, and the Mammoth are in Dallas to face the Stars.
