SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz posted a video of sophomore Taylor Hendricks shooting a free throw, shedding light on the forward’s rehabilitation after his gruesome leg injury suffered in October.
According to the post, Hendricks took the court to sink a free-throw to end practice as the Jazz prepared to face the Charlotte Hornets.

Taylor Hendricks Retakes Court For Free Throw
While Hendricks knocked down the free-throw at practice, the forward will not retake the court before next season.
After making the shot, fellow sophomore Brice Sensabaaugh jokingly ran to chest bump Hendricks, but the two players avoided any physical contact in mid-air.
Hendricks then joined the team to help break the huddle.
The forward began traveling with the team in early January, just over two months after suffering a broken fibula and dislocated right ankle after slipping on a wet spot in Dallas.
“I think being on the road with the team is really important,” Jazz coach Will Hardy said. “I think being on the plane, the bus, being around his teammates in those moments where you’re just one of the guys you’re just a part of the team, I think is really important for him.”
Taylor Hendricks Describes Injury Rehab
Even after the injury, Hendricks remained in good spirits and optimistic about his future.
“I’m happy it happened early in the season so I can be able to fully recover and be ready for the next season,” Hendricks said.

Throughout his rehabilitation, Hendricks has been in the weight room and has filled out his upper body, as can be seen when knocking down the free throw.
In 43 career games with the Jazz, the former lottery pick has averaged 7.1 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 43 percent from the floor and 37 percent from three.
