SALT LAKE CITY – For the second straight season, Utah Jazz assistant coach Scott Morrison and his wife Susanne have organized an Autism Acceptance Campaign that will be visible across the NBA.
April is Autism Awareness Month, and the Morrison family is helping to raise money for the condition in honor of their son Max, who was diagnosed with Autism in 2022.

According to a release from the Jazz, “NBA head coaches will wear custom sneakers courtside that feature their team’s colors and designs that symbolize the autism community.”
Those sneakers will then be auctioned off in a collaboration between the Morrisons To The Max Foundation and Sotheby’s between May 13-20.
Last season, all 30 NBA head coaches wore custom designed Nike Air Force 1s, including the Jazz’s Will Hardy to raise awareness for the condition.

This season, in addition to the league’s coaches, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, current and former NBA players, and several NBA broadcasters will be gifted custom sneakers that celebrate Autism Acceptance.
The sneakers will be designed by Jonathan Millar of JSM 801 Customs.
Jayson Tatum, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Patty Mills, and Max Strus have all donated signed jerseys for the cause, while James Harden, Luguentz Dort, Gilgeous-Alexander, and Strus also donated a pair of game-worn shoes.
