Isaiah Collier Breaks John Stockton’s Rookie Assist Record Against Hornets

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In the third quarter against the Charlotte Hornets, Isaiah Collier broke John Stockton’s record for assists in a season by a Jazz rookie.
In his rookie season in 1984-85, Stockton finished with 415 total assists. With his fourth assist, Collier recorded dime No. 416.

Through 67 games played this season, Collier is averaging 6.1 assists per contest.
However, that includes 10 games where the USC product played 15 or fewer minutes. Collier has put up 10 or more assists in 11 games.
His career high came back on February 28, when he recorded 14 assists in a one-point victory over the Timberwolves.

Seen as a pinnacle of consistency, Stockton played in all 82 games in his rookie campaign.
If he plays in every game to close out the season, Collier will end with 74 games played.
Utah Jazz Continue Road Trip In Charlotte Against Hornets
The Utah Jazz continue on their five-game road trip against the Charlotte Hornets tonight.
As two teams in contention in the reverse standings, both teams come into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. Looking back further, the Hornets have four wins in the month of March, while the Jazz have just one.
This is the second and final matchup between Utah and Charlotte. Back on January 15, Charlotte stole a five-point win at Delta Center.
Both teams have lengthy injury reports. The likes of LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, Lauri Markkanen, John Collins, Walker Kessler, and more will all be sidelined.
