Former BYU Assistant Quincy Lewis Named Lehi High Head Basketball Coach

LEHI, Utah – Former BYU basketball assistant Quincy Lewis has landed his first head-coaching position since leading Lone Peak High School to a National Championship.
Lewis is now the new head coach at Lehi High School. A program that won region 7 this past season and was 13-10 overall on the year.
“Lehi High School is excited to announce Quincy Lewis as the new boy’s basketball coach. Quincy brings a wealth of experience and success from both the high school and college levels,” Lehi High’s social media post announcing the Lewis hire.
“I am excited to be here and be your new basketball coach. Excited to be part of the community and the school,” Lewis said in an introductory video on Facebook.
Lewis was an assistant on BYU’s bench under Dave Rose for four seasons. He also had stints at Southern Utah, Utah Valley State College, and BYU-Hawaii. But Lewis’ most accomplished work was being the head coach at Lone Peak High School from 2003-2015.
In 12 years as the head coach at Lone Peak, Lewis won seven state championships and 10 region titles. Lewis’ record as head coach at Lone Peak was 250-45, good for an 84 percent winning percentage.
This past year, Lewis served as the athletic director at his alma mater, Timpview High School in Provo.
