BYU Football Offers Ryder Lyons’ Top Receiver On Recruiting Trail

PROVO, Utah – The BYU Cougars have extended a scholarship offer to Folsom High School wide receiver Rob Larson. Larson is a top target of 2026 BYU quarterback commit Ryder Lyons.
Larson announced he had received an offer from BYU on Tuesday, August 25. The junior is in the 2027 recruiting class.

Lyons, Larson, and fellow BYU 2027 QB recruit Brody Rudnicki helped lead the Bulldogs to a 51-13 blowout win over California prep power Grant High School.
Lyons completed 31-of-37 passes for 408 yards and four touchdowns. He added a fifth touchdown rushing. Lyons and Larson connected for two touchdowns, including a 66-yard scoring strike midway through the second quarter.
The Folsom Bulldogs went into Grant High School on Saturday night and dominated on both sides of the ball. The Bulldogs defeated the Pacers 51-13. Next up for Lyons, Larson, and Folsom High is another road matchup. This time against Junipero Serra on Saturday, August 30 at 3:30 p.m. (MDT)/2:30 p.m. (PDT).

Listed at 6’3 and 195 pounds, Larson is a big-bodied wideout with plenty of room to grow.

He finished the season with 27 catches for 599 yards and nine touchdowns. Larson averaged 59.9 receiving yards per game and had a season-long reception of 69 yards.
