Assuming Dybantsa makes the U19 Team USA squad, he will have an opportunity to compete in the FIBA U19 World Cup, which tips off on June 28 and goes to July 6 in Switzerland.
Team USA would leave for Switzerland on June 24.
Before he left for Colorado Springs this past weekend, Dybantsa told KSL Sports that he hopes to “bring back gold for BYU.”

AJ Dybantsa is no stranger to global competition with Team USA.
The heralded BYU freshman helped Team USA’s U17 National Team win gold at the FIBA U17 World Cup in Turkey last summer. He was also a key player in the U16 National Team’s win of gold at the 2023 FIBA Men’s U16 Americas Championship in Mexico.
Dybantsa also represented Team USA in the Nike Hoop Summit earlier this year in Portland, scoring 24 points, grabbing six rebounds, dishing out five assists, and coming up with three steals in the overtime win against World Select.
