Among the carousel of photos shared, Rueckert posted an image of him with BYU basketball head coach Kevin Young, assistant coaches Brandon Dunson, Chris Burgess, and John Linehan, along with Director of Basketball Operations Nate Austin.
Rueckert is a four-star prospect in the class of 2026 and is rated as the 85th overall recruit in the country by the 247Sports Composite rankings.
“They’re one of the best development programs in the country right now. It would be a great opportunity,” Rueckert said of BYU to Krysten Peek at Peach Jam in Georgia earlier this month. “It’s gotten a lot better over the years with the new coaching staff, a lot of NBA experience. That’s where I want to go, the NBA. So, that’d be cool.”
Last month, Rueckert announced his top five schools that he’s considering are BYU, Clemson, Stanford, Utah, and Washington.
Recently, Rueckert competed in the Nike EYBL’s Peach Jam with his AAU team, Utah Prospects. He earned praise from those in attendance for his shot-making ability.
Last year in his junior season at Timpview High, Rueckert knocked down 56 three-pointers. During his prep career, he’s buried 139 threes.
