SALT LAKE CITY – Egor Demin has made a major impression at the Vegas Summer League with his hot shooting.
The BYU product’s success from the three-point line has been one of the most pleasant surprises from any lottery pick in their NBA careers.

Egor Demin Lighting Up Summer League From Deep
After shooting just 27 percent from the three-point line during his lone season at BYU, Demin has found his shooting stroke through three appearances in Summer League.
The Russian guard is shooting a blistering 43.5 percent on 7.7 three-point attempts per game, revealing a new element to his offensive arsenal.
Demin’s shooting has included a 2-5 performance, a 4-10 performance, and most recently, a 4-8 performance against the Orlando Magic to help the Nets secure the victory.

The guard made four threes in his first game for the Cougars against Central Arkansas on November 5, but failed to reach the benchmark for the rest of his college career.
Demin’s hot shooting correlates with pre-draft rumors that the 19-year-old had shot the ball well during private workouts, elevating his status to a mid-lottery pick.
Demin Must Improve Inside Arc
While the Nets rookie has been superb beyond the three-point line, he’ll have to hone in on his ability to get into the paint during the offseason.
Demin has attempted only four field goals inside the three-point line in his three appearances, and is just 1-4 on his attempts.
The guard’s only make was a highlight reel dunk early in Wednesday’s win against the Magic.

As is common with rookie guards, Demin has also struggled with playmaking responsibilities.
Despite being dubbed as the draft’s best passer, the first-year ballhandler has failed to record an assist in two of his three outings, and has a 1.3:3.0 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Demin and the Nets will conclude Summer League play on Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
