AJ Dybantsa Throws Down Perfect Slam Dunk Over WNBA Star Angel Reese

SALT LAKE CITY – BYU basketball signee AJ Dybantsa is gearing up for the McDonald’s All-American Game in Brooklyn this week.
On Monday night, the future BYU Cougar participated in the Sprite Jam Fest, where he put together an impressive highlight dunk.
Dybantsa brought out WNBA star Angel Reese from the Chicago Sky to assist with the dunk.

Reese stood in the painted area in preparation for Dybantsa’s dunk.
The 6-foot-9 Dybantsa then took off from half court to build momentum. Then, when he reached the painted area, Dybantsa rose over the 6-foot-3 Reese for the highlight slam dunk.
The dunk earned a perfect “50” score from the judges, which included McDonald’s mascots Ronald McDonald and Grimace.

Despite putting together the highlight-grabbing dunk in the first round, future Baylor Bears signee Tounde Yessoufou went on to win the Slam Dunk event at the Sprite Jamfest.
Dybantsa is the first BYU basketball signee named a McDonald’s All-American since 2000.
No. 1 recruit in the class of 2025
The Utah Prep star is the No. 1 overall prospect in the class of 2025 out of high school and is viewed as a potential No. 1 NBA draft pick in 2026.
Dybantsa has stated that he will be a one-and-done player at BYU.
He will begin classes at BYU on April 29th, where he steps into a Cougar hoops program that reached the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament during the first season under head coach Kevin Young.
