BYU Signee AJ Dybantsa Attends Sweet 16 Game Against Alabama

NEWARK, N.J. – BYU basketball signee AJ Dybantsa made the trip to New Jersey to see his future team in action.
Dybantsa attended BYU’s game against No. 2 seed Alabama in the East Region Sweet 16 of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The 6-foot-9, 210-pound prospect is the No. 1 recruit in the country. He signed with BYU during the early signing period.
An interesting backdrop to Dybantsa attending the game is that Alabama was one of his finalist schools.
Dybantsa picked BYU over Alabama, North Carolina, Kansas State, and others.
A native of Brockton, Massachusetts, Dybantsa grew up in the northeast.

This past season, Dybantsa completed his high school career playing at Utah Prep in Hurricane, Utah.
Dybantsa led Utah Prep to the semifinals of the Grind Session tournament before losing to Ft. Erie.
During his senior year at Utah Prep, Dybantsa was named the Defensive Player of the Year in the Grind Session league.
Earlier this month, Dybantsa told KSL Sports that he will begin classes at BYU on May 1.
Dybantsa has made it clear that he’s a one-and-done player in college before declaring for the NBA Draft in 2026.
Many mock drafts for 2026 project Dybantsa as a potential No. 1 pick in his class.
