SALT LAKE CITY – Since stepping foot on an NBA court, Utah Jazz guard Isaiah Collier has been one of the fastest players in the association.
He showed off that speed with a tough bucket in the third quarter against the Detroit Pistons at Delta Center on Monday.

Isaiah Collier Shows Off Speed With Fastbreak Finish
After battling amongst the trees for the defensive rebound, Collier took off to the races.
With only one backpedaling defender in his path, the rookie out of USC went straight up to the rim. Tim Hardaway Jr. attempted to take a charge but didn’t have enough time to get set.
The ball rolled around the rim for a second before eventually dropping through the net to the tune of the ref’s whistle. Collier stepped up to the line and dropped it to increase his point total to eight.

Through the first three quarters, Collier added two rebounds, one assist, and one steal to the books.
Collier and Collin Sexton retained their usual high-energy level in an otherwise sluggish Utah performance against the Pistons. Going into the fourth, the Jazz trailed 98-77.
Jazz Host Red-Hot Pistons To Close Out Homestand
As the NBA season enters the final stretch, Utah and Detroit find themselves in vastly different positions. The Jazz own the worst record in the Western Conference and are 3-7 in their last 10. Meanwhile, Detroit has the second-best record in the NBA through the last ten games and looks to continue rising in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.
This will be the second and final matchup between these teams this season. The Jazz traveled to the Motor City on Thursday, December 19, and came out with a 126-119 win.
After Monday’s game, the Jazz will hit the road for a massively important East Coast trip.
