Jaden Springer To Sign Three-Year Deal With Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY – Jaden Springer has signed a three-year deal with the Utah Jazz the team announced on Sunday.
Shams Charania first reported the deal before the Jazz faced the New Orleans Pelicans.
“The Utah Jazz are signing guard Jaden Springer to a three-year deal, agent Chad Speck tells ESPN,” Charania wrote. “The 2021 first-round pick has played in four games since joining Utah.”
Jaden Springer Signs Extension With Jazz
Springer originally signed a 10-day contract with the Jazz on February 19, and made his first appearance with the team on February 21 in a 130-107 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The guard has averaged 3.5 points, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 rebounds in four appearances with the team.
Springer averaged 1.7 points while shooting 35.3 percent from the floor and 31.6 percent from the three-point line in 26 games with the Boston Celtics before signing with the Jazz.
The guard was the 28th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft by Philadelphia and has appeared in 97 games for the 76ers, Celtics, and Jazz over the last four seasons.

Springer’s contract is likely to be non-guaranteed and will give the Jazz the flexibility to use his deal in trade talks this summer.
The 22-year-old can also play for the Jazz in the summer league and audition for a spot on the roster if he remains with the team through training camp.
Springer averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 46 percent from the floor, and 43.5 from three in his lone season for the Tennessee Volunteers.
