Crew Wakley’s Late Interception Secures BYU’s First Big 12 Road

WACO, Texas – With injuries sapping the Cougar’s depth and Baylor threatening to complete an epic second half comeback, BYU redshirt junior safety Crew Wakley came up with the game’s biggest play, picking off a Sawyer Robinson pass to secure the win.
BYU held on in a nail-biter, picking up its first Big 12 road win in a 34-28 victory.

The former Jordan Beetdigger led his team with four tackles, including a sack with his game-clinching INT.
The previously stout Cougar defense struggled in the second half against Baylor but made a big play when needed. BYU has forced ten turnovers this season, including seven interceptions.
Wakley is fifth on the team with 19 stops this season and is one of eight Cougars with at least one sack.
