Report: USC QB Kedon Slovis Enters NCAA Transfer Portal

SALT LAKE CITY – USC standout quarterback Kedon Slovis has reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal after spending three seasons with the Trojans.
Multiple media outlets reported that Kedon Slovis put his name in the transfer portal on Monday morning.
Entering the 2021 season, Slovis was considered a preseason Heisman Trophy candidate and struggled throughout the year. He started in nine games for USC this season but battled injuries and the emergence of former Corner Canyon quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Slovis started the first nine games of the year before Dart was inserted as the QB. Dart entered the competition at quarterback when Slovis was injured early in their Week 3 matchup against Washington State.
Slovis, who started parts of the last three seasons, is in the portal as a graduate.

The first time Slovis faced Utah was in 2019 but left the game early with an injury. In 2020, Slovis threw for 264 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in their win over the Utes in Utah’s season opener.
This season at the Coliseum, Slovis threw for 401 yards, two touchdowns and an interception as the Utes beat the Trojans 42-26. In three seasons, Slovis threw for 7,576 yards, 58 touchdowns and 24 interceptions in 27 games played.
USC made a coaching change during the season as Clay Helton was fired after Week 2 loss to Stanford. Two weeks ago, USC hired former Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley. Since Riley has arrived in Los Angeles, he has picked up a ton of great recruits as the early signing period approaches.
