BYU Football OL Cade Parrish Enters Transfer Portal

PROVO, Utah – BYU football offensive lineman Cade Parrish has entered the NCAA’s Transfer Portal. The news was first reported by Cougar Sports Insider.
Parrish joined the BYU program during the spring of 2021 after completing a season at Snow College. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound offensive tackle was once a commit to the Arizona Wildcats, before ultimately joining the Cougars.
During his one season at BYU, Parrish appeared in one game for the Cougars. That was during the fourth quarter of BYU’s 59-14 win over Idaho State.
Parrish will have three years to play three at the next school he transfers to, and he’ll have immediate eligibility as this will be his first undergrad transfer from one FBS school to another.
A former Logan High graduate in 2016, Parrish served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after graduating in the Cache Valley.
Parrish is the second BYU football player on the 2021 roster to enter the NCAA’s Transfer Portal. The other is fellow JUCO transfer, Jacques Wilson. A cornerback from Los Angeles, Wilson battled injuries during his two seasons with the Cougars.
In the early stages of Transfer Portal season, BYU football has been viewed as one of the big winners so far as the Cougars picked up Oregon transfer and former five-star offensive lineman Kingsley Suamataia. Suamataia will compete along BYU’s offensive line in 2022.
