PROVO, Utah – BYU football defensive back Malik Moore has become one of the most improved players this season.

In his fourth year at BYU, the San Diego native earned a starting spot at safety coming into the season. He’s carried that success into games, where he has three interceptions through BYU’s first eight contests this year.

Moore would be the first to tell you that it could have been five interceptions had he caught the two additional drops against the Crimson Cougs over the weekend. But his three picks put him as BYU’s interception leader this season.

With that type of success and Name, Image, and Likeness being out there for college athletes these days, it’s time for Moore to cash in.

After grabbing one of his three interceptions this season in the win over Washington State this past Saturday, Moore, who’s never been bashful about his appreciation for a good meal, was asked on BYUtv if he was going to get a postgame pizza.

Malik Moore wants a Wingstop sponsorship

“I ain’t feeling pizza; I’m feeling like some Wingstop today,” said Moore during the BYUtv postgame. “I need Wingstop to sponsor me or something. Hey, if you all watching this Wingstop, please, hit your boy up. I want it! I go there every time.”

The power of social media comes through again. Wingstop responded to Moore’s inquiry on Twitter, “we are definitely watching this (eyeball emoji).”

Oh man, Wingstop even threw in the signature BYU eyeball emoji. You might as well shut it down and start writing those checks for Moore.

Wingstop has 10 locations in Utah, including one in Provo near BYU’s campus on University Parkway.

But if Wingstop doesn’t come through, the junior safety wouldn’t oppose some burger sponsors either.

“I go there every day [to Five Guys], ask your employees at Orem by the Cinemark mall. Promise you,” Moore said.
