SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU quarterback Zach Wilson is one of the hottest prospects in the 2021 NFL draft. Last week, Wilson announced his intentions to declare for the draft after a storied career at BYU, and now the preparations are in full swing.

Wilson, who led BYU to its first 11-win season since 2009, moved to California on January 5 to prepare for the most important job interview of his life.

The agency that is representing Wilson is the William Morris Agency. More commonly known as WME. Wilson announced this past weekend that he was teaming up with WME, a talent agency representing the likes of Hollywood stars Christian Bale, Jessica Alba, Whoopi Goldberg, and Hugh Jackman.

WME set up Wilson with a place to stay while he is in California leading up to the draft, and needless to say, it’s pretty sweet. Wilson gave his followers a behind-the-scenes look at his new place.

The best part of the whole video, in my mind, has to be the gifts waiting on the table for the potential top-five pick. Did you see that PlayStation 5? Hey WME, any tips on how I can score one of those? Thanks in advance. Great setup for BYU’s former captain.

The path for Zach Wilson to the NFL

Wilson earned everything that he is getting right now. Coming out of Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Wilson was an overlooked recruit ranked as a three-star prospect. He arrived at BYU in 2018 and became the youngest quarterback to ever start a game in program history.

After overcoming adversity with injuries and facing his share of critics, Wilson delivered a huge season in 2020, passing for 3,692 yards, 33 touchdowns, and completing 74 percent of his passes.

Everyone will want to know if Wilson can become the number two quarterback selected in the draft behind assumed no. 1 pick in Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence. Time will tell. But while that time passes, Wilson will be enjoying himself during his work in sunny California.
