Orem Reaches Fourth Consecutive Title Game With Win Over Maple Mountain

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah – The No. 2 Orem Tigers soundly defeated the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles to reach their fourth straight state championship game.
Orem put up a 35-7 performance against No. 6 Maple Mountain on Friday, November 13.
The Tigers led 28-0 before the Golden Eagles got on the board with a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Orem quarterback Micah Fe’a tossed a pair of touchdown passes in the win.

The Tigers had three rushing touchdowns, which were scored by Joe Smith, Kolton Brown-Dye, and Payton Skipps.

Maple Mountain’s Gene Ho-Ching connected with Aedan Seiuli for the Golden Eagles’ only score of the contest.
Orem will advance to the finals to face No. 9 Timpview (7-4) on Friday, November 20. It’s the second season in a row that the Thunderbirds and Tigers will play for the 5A title.
