BYU Football Uniforms Ready To Pop On Blue Field At Boise State

PROVO, Utah – It took game number eight for BYU Football to have a repeat uniform combination this season. But the repeat threads might be one of their best jersey combinations.

The Cougars will wear all-white uniforms with royal blue numbers and stripes against No. 21 Boise State this Friday on the Blue Turf.

BYU is 2-0 in these uniforms, with the most recent victory coming in the season-opener against Navy back on September 7th.

The other game these jerseys were worn was at Utah State last season in Logan. A game that BYU was an underdog in and pulled away to a dominating 42-14 victory.

Friday marks the first time that both BYU and Boise State will be nationally-ranked when squaring off. Boise leads the all-time series against BYU 7-3, but BYU got the upper hand last year over a Broncos team who arrived in Provo undefeated and ranked in the top-15. Sound familiar? BYU will look to avoid a similar fate as they try to get their first win on the blue turf against the Broncos.

This is the fifth game this season, where BYU has worn jerseys that feature royal blue in their uniform. Both royal blue and navy blue are recognized as official school colors for BYU athletics. But royal blue appears to have taken higher priority this season now that there are more uniform options in the rotation.

vs. Western Kentucky – All-white with navy blue numbers and stripes; pink accessories

at No. 21 Boise State – All-white with royal blue numbers and stripes
