6,000 Fans Allowed To Attend Upcoming BYU Football Game Against Texas State

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – BYU football announced that its upcoming game against Texas State will be the Cougars’ first home game with fans in attendance this season.
On Saturday, October 17, BYU said that 6,000 fans will be allowed to watch the Cougars play the Bobcats on October 24.
“In accordance with Utah’s new health guidance levels, the BYU-Texas State game on Saturday, Oct 24, will be played with approx. 6,000 spectators in Lavell Edwards Stadium,” the school announced.

The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN at 8:15pm MT.

No. 14 BYU has played three home games this season, all without spectators.
The Cougars first four contests all took place without fans in attendance.
On Friday, October 16, BYU played at Houston in front of a crowd of 10,000-plus fans, many of which were wearing the Cougars’ colors of royal blue and white.

The Cougars of Provo defeated the Cougars of Houston 43-26 to improve to 5-0 on the season.
