SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah High School football season is historic this year as its the first action on the gridiron since the COVID-19 pandemic shut everything down in March. BYU football has made the Beehive State a point of emphasis in their recruiting efforts to land talented in-state prospects.

The state of Utah continues to provide more D-I talent than ever before. 2020 looks to be even better for the state.

To celebrate the start of the Utah High School football season, here are 10 players that have received offers from BYU that you should take the time to watch this fall.

Watch KSL 5 TV’s Game Night Live for highlights and coverage of all the action from Utah High School football games during the 2020 season.

BYU prospects to watch from Utah High School Football programs

Raider Damuni, Timpview

Committed to BYU

One of the top players in the state of Utah this season, Damuni has been committed to BYU since he was in 8th grade. Now heading into his final prep season, Damuni looks to lead Timpview to its first state championship since 2014.

Kyson Hall, Maple Mountain

Committed to BYU

The younger brother to BYU QB Jaren Hall, Kyson is an athletic receiver who’s received a three-star rating from 247Sports. Many believe his best football is still ahead of him. Has an opportunity to shine in his senior year this fall with the Eagles.

Ricky Wolfgramm, East

Committed to BYU

Longtime commit to BYU, Wolfgramm enters his senior season at East as a hybrid defensive end, defensive tackle player along the Leopards line. Like Raider Damuni, Wolfgramm has been committed to BYU since he was in eighth grade.

Jovesa Damuni, Ridgeline

Committed to BYU

Committed to BYU this summer, Damuni is cousins with Raider Damuni. Damuni is an athlete who could play either offense or defense at the next level.

Isaac Vaha, Pleasant Grove

One of the top recruiting battles BYU wants to be in the mix for in the class of 2021. Vaha, a versatile TE/DL prospect who also excels in basketball. To land a commitment from Vaha, BYU would have to beat out rival Utah and a host of other national programs that include Penn State and Oregon.

Kingsley Sumataia, Orem

Suamataia is an elite four-star prospect that has narrowed his dozens of offers down to seven schools. BYU is one of the seven programs in the mix. To highlight how long BYU has been recruiting Suamataia, the Cougars extended an offer to Kingsley before Kalani Sitake coached a game at BYU. Oregon, USC, Arkansas, and Utah are all in the mix for Suamataia who’s looking to lead Orem to a third consecutive state title.

Logan Fano, Timpview

Fano was once committed to BYU as an eighth-grader. Now numerous programs around the country have extended offers to the four-star pass rusher at Timpview. Fano might be the top defensive end in the state of Utah this year.

Jaxson Dart, Corner Canyon

Every year BYU looks to land at least one quarterback. In the class of 2021, Corner Canyon’s Jaxson Dart is one of the Cougars’ top targets. A transfer from Roy High School, Dart takes over a Charger offense that has a lot of talented receivers for him to throw to.

John Henry Daley, Lone Peak

The younger brother to BYU signee Michael Daley, John Henry will be a prospect to watch this fall along the Knights defensive line. Hard to expect 24.5 sacks like his older brother, but John Henry has the talent to have a big season.

Dallin Havea, Provo

Younger brother to BYU pledge in the class of 2020 Drason Havea, Dallin put up big numbers at running back for the Bulldogs last season rushing for 1,159 yards.

Others: Brock Fabrizio, Alta; Cody Hagen, Corner Canyon, Noah Moeaki, American Fork; Carsen Ryan, Timpview; Liu Aumavae, Timpview; Stanley Raass, Skyridge; Aisea Moa, Weber
