SALT LAKE CITY – The wait is officially over. College football returns this weekend, and so do the Utah Utes.
On Saturday, the Utah football program will open its 2025 season, heading down to a familiar venue in Southern California to take on the UCLA Bruins.

Utah Faces Former Pac-12 Foe UCLA In The Rose Bowl
In the Kyle Whittingham era, the Utes are 9-5 against the Bruins, and they’ve won six of the last seven matchups. This includes three wins in the last four visits to the Rose Bowl.
Former New Mexico offensive coordinator Jason Beck and quarterback Devon Dampier will make their Utah debuts in week one.
In the last ten seasons, Utah is 9-1 in season openers. The loss came back in 2022 with a three-point loss to Florida in the Swamp. They finished 10-4 that season and won the Pac-12.

Utah football will take on the UCLA Bruins in the Rose Bowl on Saturday, August 30. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. (MT), and the game will be broadcast on FOX.
