Yoeli Childs Enters Top 10 All-Time Scoring List In BYU History

PROVO, Utah – Yoeli Childs returned to BYU for his senior season with the mindset of accomplishing something special. While seeking team accomplishments, on an individual level Childs continues to move up the record books among the greats to ever come through BYU.
On Saturday night, BYU’s star forward entered the top-10 for all-time leading scorers in Cougar basketball history after a first-half dunk against Oral Roberts.

When Childs threw down the dunk on the Golden Eagles, it gave Childs his 1,717th points in his BYU career, putting him at number 10 on the all-time scorer’s list.
To get to number 10, Childs passed up former BYU guard/forward Mark Bigelow who played for the Cougars from 1998-99, 2001-2004.
Childs is currently averaging 20 points per game this season, if he continues at his average he could rise to number six on BYU’s all-time scoring rankings.
