Four BYU Football Players Added To College Football 26 Video Game
Aug 22, 2025, 3:27 PM
PROVO, Utah – The College Football 26 video game by EA Sports recently put together a roster update with a bunch of newcomers.
Among those newcomers added to the game are four BYU football players.
Those four BYU players who were added to College Football 26 include offensive lineman Kyle Sfarcioc, defensive tackle Anisi Purcell, linebacker/EDGE Nusi Taumopeau, and cornerback Tayvion Beasley.
Kyle Sfarcioc and Anisi Purcell were two transfers in from Southern Utah University. Nusi Taumoepeau joined the program in the summer after being released from his commitment to Stanford. Then Tayvion Beasley, who is currently competing for time at NICKEL, transferred in from San Diego State.
BYU Football newcomers join the College Football 26 roster update
Also of note in the roster update by EA Sports College Football 26 was former BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff being officially added to Tulane’s roster. Retzlaff is an 88 overall quarterback in the game.
BYU’s highest-rated quarterback in the game is McCae Hillstead with a 77 overall, one point higher than true freshman Bear Bachmeier’s 76. Bachmeier was officially announced as BYU’s starting quarterback to open the 2025 season.
EA Sports has a majority of the players who are expected to be key contributors for BYU football this season after the update.
The areas on the roster where EA Sports needs to update are at running back, with Pokaiaua Haunga no longer being part of the program after his sudden departure in camp due to personal reasons.
Also, the tight end position. EA Sports didn’t add Weber State/New Mexico transfer Keayan Nead. The tight end position on BYU’s EA Sports roster only has three tight ends listed, with one being a long snapper, Garrison Grimes.
Players have to opt in to the game and permit EA Sports to use their name, image, and likeness. Each athlete reportedly received at least $1,500 to allow for their likeness to be in College Football 26.
EA Sports announced that they added over 1,000 freshmen to the game.
A slate of new freshmen headline the 1,000+ players being added in tomorrow’s #CFB26 roster update!
