NBA Will Feature Michael Jordan Jumpman Logo On Jerseys

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Michael Jordan is returning to the NBA hardwood. That is to say, Jordan’s Jumpman logo will appear on NBA Statement Edition jerseys beginning in the 2020-21 season. On Tuesday, Nike and the NBA announced the partnership to replace the Nike Swoosh with the iconic Jumpman logo.
All 30 NBA teams have a Statement Edition jersey in their uniform rotation. The logo will appear on the right shoulder and the left leg of the uniforms next season.
Jordan, who owns the Charlotte Hornets has outfitted the franchise with Jumpman uniforms since 2017. Likewise, the NBA All-Star jerseys have been Jumpman branded over each of the last three seasons.
The first images of the Jumpman logo leaked when @WorldWideWob tweeted a photo of the new Atlanta Hawks Statement Edition jerseys.
Jerseys featuring the Jumpman logo will be available for purchase in October.

Utah Jazz Statement Jersey Will Feature Jumpman Logo
It may be fitting that the Jazz will feature the Jumpman logo on the team’s Statement jersey. The Jazz have had tenuous relationships with both Jordan and the Statement jersey historically.
The Jazz lost back to back Finals appearances to Jordan’s Chicago Bulls in 1997 and 1998. The team was a major focus in the recent ESPN “The Last Dance” documentary series, chronicling the Bulls’ final championship run.
Meanwhile, the Jazz have shown a particular distaste for the yellow Statement jersey both on and off the floor. The team has a lowly 1-7 record while wearing the Statement jersey this season.

As a result, the Jazz opted to leave the yellow jerseys out of their uniform rotation as they complete the season in Orlando.
On Tuesday, the Jazz announced they will wear a “1223” jersey patch honoring the career wins from former head coach Jerry Sloan who passed away in May.
The Jazz reopen the NBA regular season against the New Orleans Pelicans on July 30 at 4:30 pm MT. The game will be broadcast on TNT and AT&T SportsNet.
