PHOENIX – Utah Jazz guard Isaiah Collier set a new franchise record in the first half against the Phoenix Suns on Friday.
The first-year USC product set the record for most assists in a half from a rookie with 10.

At the half, the Jazz and Suns were tied at 55-55.
Collier had four points, three rebounds, one steal, and 10 assists.
In most cases, a player who posts 10 assists in the first half would have a shot at the franchise record for assists in a game.
However, Utah used to have a point guard named John Stockton. The all-time leading assisted in NBA history had three games with 25 or more dimes including a career-high 28 assists against the Spurs on January 15, 1991.

With that said, Collier has a shot at most assists by a Jazz player not named John Stockton.
Deron Williams recorded 21 assists against the Grizzlies on January 24, 2007.
Jazz Invade The Valley, Look For First Season Win Over Suns
The Utah Jazz didn’t shake up the roster very much but were still one of the most active teams at the NBA Trade Deadline. The teams’ new acquisitions, KJ Martin and Josh Richardson, will not be with the team in Phoenix.
The Jazz and the Suns have already played three times this season. Strangely, Phoenix has won each of the three games by exactly eight points.
With that said, the Suns will be without both Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal in the fourth and final matchup against the Jazz at Footprint Center.
