SALT LAKE CITY – Jalen Hood-Schifino has been waived by the Utah Jazz after the guard was acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers in the Luka Doncic blockbuster trade.
Hood-Schifino was waived without ever suiting up for the Jazz.

Jalen Hood-Schifino Will Become Free Agent
The Jazz first acquired Hood-Schifino along with two 2025 second-round picks in the deal that sent Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks, and Doncic to the Lakers.
The two teams needed a third organization to absorb Hood-Schifino’s contract to complete the transaction and turned to the Jazz.
The Jazz were forced to waive the sophomore in order to complete Thursday’s trade that sent recently acquired Dennis Schroder to the Detroit Pistons for KJ Martin and Josh Richardson.
