After Being Out For Illness, Rudy Gobert Enters Health And Safety Protocols

SALT LAKE CITY – Rudy Gobert has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocol, according to the Utah Jazz injury report.
Gobert was unavailable to play last night against the Nuggets due to an illness, according to the team. Quin Snyder said he had a fever of 102 degrees. Entering health and safety protocol is associated with testing positive for COVID-19.

When the pandemic first struck, Gobert was the first NBA player to test positive for COVID-19 spurring the NBA (and all other sports leagues) to shut down.

Joe Ingles is also in health and safety protocol.
The Jazz will be extremely short-handed tomorrow against the Raptors with nine players out or questionable, including Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley.

Before Ingles entered protocol the Jazz had been the only NBA team without a player in safety protocol. The team is currently in the middle of a five game road trip with stops remaining in Toronto, Indiana and Detroit.
