SAN ANTONIO – Utah native and PGA Tour golfer Tony Finau saw his entire Valero Texas Open experience play out in one final, up-and-down round on Sunday.
Finau had a double-bogey, five bogeys, and four pars to finish at +4 for the round and +5 overall. He finished tied for 56th on the leaderboard.
The Valero Texas Open was held at Oaks Course in San Antonio, Texas, from April 3 to 6.

Tony Finau Struggles With Inconsistencies In San Antonio
The first round was Finau’s best. He had five birdies and finished at three-under-par.
The highs and lows started to kick in on Friday. He had five bogeys, including three straight from holes 13 to 15. On 16, he made up for all of it with a hole in one.
The ace put him above the projected cutline to send him to the third and fourth rounds.

Conditions on the third day were not ideal, to say the least. Heavy winds plagued everyone to the point where only two golfers were able to shoot under 70 on the third day.
Finau posted a +4, which had his total at +1 for decision day.
Unfortunately, it was more of the same on Sunday. He started with a double-bogey on hole one, and the round didnt improve much from there.
