Prior to the shot on 16, Finau had posted a bogey on three-straight holes. Through 15, he sat at +1 on the round with five bogeys and four birdies.
Once the ball trickled into the hole on the par-3, Finau tossed his club and hat in celebration.
Following his second round, Finau explained why he reacted the way he did.

“It was really timely,” Finau said. “That’s why I reacted the way I did, I needed something to go my way.”
Finau went even on day two, and his -3 in round one was enough to have him tied for 37th going into moving day.
