George Maile Gives Utah State Football ‘Physical, Combative Presence’ On O-Line

SALT LAKE CITY – Bruising interior offensive lineman George Maile has solidified his spot along the Utah State O-line heading into the 2025 season.
Maile is the next Aggie to make an appearance on the 2025 KSL Sports Zone Hans & Scotty G. 60 in 60 watchlist.
“(We) really like the leadership and physical presence in the transfer from Baylor,” USU head coach Bronco Mendenhall said of the junior guard.

“George plays guard,” Mendenhall continued, highlighting Maile’s ability to maul opponents in the trenches. “He’s physical, he’s tough, he’s smart. A relentless worker and absolute team leader. (He) adds a physical and combative presence there that we need as an identity to our team.”
About Utah State’s George Maile
The 6’4, 295-pound Maile became a four-star prospect and was rated as the No. 7 offensive guard in the country by ESPN coming out of Bingham High School.
He earned Utah Class 6A honorable mention as a senior with the Miners.

He spent two seasons with the Baylor Bears, appearing in 13 games.
Maile transferred to Logan before the 2024 season. He appeared in 12 games, making the first start of his career against the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors in November of that season.
Maile’s brother, Bo, is a senior defensive tackle at Utah State. His uncle, Frank Maile, played football for the Aggies from 2004 to 2007 and later was an assistant coach for ten seasons.
