Utah’s Elijah Davis Primed To Be ‘One Of The Best Corners In The Big 12’

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Utes redshirt freshman cornerback Elijah Davis is in line to play a significant role in the middle of defensive coordinator Morgan Scalley’s secondary.
Davis is next on the 2025 KSL Sports Zone Hans & Scotty G. 60 in 60 watchlist.

“Elijah Davis should be one of the better corners in the Big 12 this year,” Utah HC Kyle Whittingham said. “He has really developed since he entered the program, and he is at the point in his career where he’s ready to make some noise.”
The 6’1, 175-pound redshirt corner is a redshirt freshman in 2025.
About Utah’s Elijah Davis
The Winter Haven, Florida, native played his prep football at Auburndale Senior High School.
He recorded seven interceptions during his high school career and earned all-county recognition as a junior.

Davis played primarily special teams in his first two seasons in Salt Lake, appearing in 15 games and finishing with three tackles.
He became an integral part of the Utah defense in 2024 when he started nine games and played in all 12.
Davis finished the year with 29 tackles and had two interceptions. He made a career-high five stops in wins over Utah State and UCF.
