Jazz Game Against Wizards Postponed

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz game against the Washington Wizards has been postponed. The Wizards are unable to suit up the full eight players required to field a team, prematurely ending the Jazz seven-game road trip before their final stop.
The game is the fifth to be postponed this week after the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, and Miami Heat all had games suspended due to COVID-19 tracing.

The Wizards Rui Hachimura and Moritz Wagner were placed in the league’s safety protocol on Tuesday.
The team was already without Russell Westbrook and Thomas Bryant who are out with injures. The Wizards beat the Phoenix Suns Monday night in Washington.
“Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz at Capital One Arena has been postponed in accordance with the league’s health and safety protocols. Due to ongoing contract tracing with the team, we do not have the league-required eight available players to proceed with tomorrow’s game against the Jazz.”

Earlier in the day, the NBA introduced a series of new protocols aimed at limiting the spread of COVID-19 throughout the league.
The Jazz will face the Cleveland Cavaliers Tuesday night before returning to Utah.
