BYU Commit Raider Damuni Selected To Play In Polynesian Bowl

PROVO, Utah – Timpview High star Raider Damuni has been committed to the BYU Football program since he was in 8th grade.
The son of BYU’s Executive Coordinator of On-Campus Recruiting Jack Damuni, Raider accepted his offer from BYU coach Kalani Sitake all the way back in February of 2017.
BYU made projections on Damuni’s potential when he was in 8th grade and now Damuni is realizing said potential with his play at defensive back for Timpview.
On Tuesday, Damuni was selected to play in the 2021 Polynesian Bowl in Honolulu. An All-Star game featuring some of the best recruits in the nation.

Last season, Damuni played in 15 games and had a team-leading six interceptions to go with 32 tackles.
A three-star prospect according to 247Sports, Damuni is currently ranked third in the state of Utah for the class of 2021 and is the 737th prospect nationally in 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
Damuni is one of four players from the state of Utah in the class of 2021 that has been selected for the Polynesian Bowl festivities next January. The other in-state players include Orem’s Kingsley Suamatia, East’s Voi Tunuufi, and Damuni’s Timpview teammate in Logan Fano who de-committed from BYU last year.
