Utah DB Jaylon Johnson To Forgo Senior Year, Declare For NFL Draft

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah cornerback Jaylon Johnson announced that he will forgo his senior season with the Utes and declare for the 2020 NFL Draft.
Johnson posted about his decision via Twitter on Friday, December 13.
KSL Sports’ Jeremiah Jensen said that Johnson “will go down as one of the best players” to ever play for the Utes.

The junior defensive back has played for the Utes since 2017. During his three-year college career, Johnson has appeared in 38 games.
He’s posted 102 total tackles, 88 solo tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, 7 interceptions, 28 pass breakups, and 2 touchdowns.
The day before Johnson’s announcement, he was recognized as one of college football’s best players being named a Walter Camp All-American.
Johnson will finish his Utah career when the Utes take on the Texas Longhorns in the Valero Alamo Bowl on December 31 at 5:30 p.m. (MDT) on ESPN.

The 2020 NFL Combine runs from February 23-March 2, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 2020 NFL Draft will be held from April 23-25 in Nevada.
