Utah’s Huntley, Moss Climbing Heisman Polls

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley and running back Zack Moss are starting to enter the Heisman conversation, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF).

The college football season is just getting started, as Utah prepares to take on their first Pac-12 opponent this Friday – the USC Trojans.

PFF listed Moss at number six and Huntley at seven. Moss, who leads the country with 22 first downs and touchdowns and 32 missed tackles is the top running back in the country heading into week 4.

While Huntley, who is ranked seventh when it comes to quarterback passer efficiency with 195, has been deadly accurate on his passing attempts thus far this season. The quarterback passer efficiency formula takes measures (1) yards per pass attempt, (2) pass completions per pass attempt, (3) touchdowns per pass attempt and (4) interceptions per pass attempt.

Huntley currently sits behind Joe Burrow (LSU), Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma), Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama), Justin Fields (Ohio State) and Sam Ehlinger (Texas).

However, as the Utes head into their conference schedule, the big question will be – can Huntley and Moss continue their consistent dominance against more athletic defenses?

It all starts this Friday against the USC Trojans on Friday evening at the Coliseum.
