SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Royals forward Ally Sentnor has been voted the 2024 U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year, earning a prestigious honor to highlight her rising stardom.
From being the No. 1 overall pick in the NWSL draft to her first senior USWNT call-up late last year, it is clear that Sentnor is just getting started.

The 27 players to win this award combine to make an illustrious list, to say the least. 24 of the players have earned caps with the USWNT and 19 of them have played in the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Sentnor spoke on the honor given to her by her peers as well as members of the U.S. Soccer Board of Directors and select media members and administrators.
“The words that come to mind are grateful and humbled,” Sentnor said. “To see the list of players who have won this before shows me the opportunities that are ahead. I know there is so much work to do for myself and my generation, but we’ve had amazing role models in the players from the past and the veteran players who are on the team now. I’m so excited about the next steps that (U.S. WNT head coach) Emma (Hayes) is taking with the National Team and I’m going to work as hard as I can to try to earn more opportunities to be with this special group of players.”
Being a 20-year-old and suiting up for your country’s national team is already a huge achievement. But, the award that she received following her run takes it to an entirely different level.
