SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Royals FC put pressure on Angel City FC but couldn’t escape with the win in a scoreless draw.
Utah Royals FC (1-11-3, 6 points) returned home to host Angel City FC (4-7-4, 16 points) at America First Field on Friday, August 15.

Utah piled up 14 shots with five coming on frame, but couldn’t crack the code against Hannah Seabert in the net for Angel City.
Mandy McGlynn started in goal for Utah and made two saves against ten Angel City shots.
Claudia Zornoza and Aisha Solórzano earned yellow cards for Utah. Madison Hammond got the only yellow given to Angel City. All three yellows came in the second half.
Utah has two goals in its past five matches. The Royals’ 12 goals are tied with the Chicago Stars for the fewest in the league and trail the next closest team by five goals.
Utah’s seven points are the fewest in the NWSL, one point ahead of Chicago. The Houston Dash are next with 15 points.
