SALT LAKE CITY – One of the best rivalries in college sports is set to renew this weekend when the Utah Utes host the BYU Cougars in the first-ever Big 12 matchup between the programs.
The Cougars (11-5, 2-3) travel north for a Saturday, January 18 tilt at the Jon M. Huntsman Center against the Utes (10-6, 2-3). The heated rivals have played 264 all-time games. BYU holds a 134-130 advantage over the Runnin’ Utes.

Utah has won two straight after dropping their first three to open Big 12 play. The Utes downed Oklahoma State 83-62 at home before taking down TCU for their first road win of the season.
The Cougars are fresh off an 85-69 win over the Cowboys. BYU had lost three straight before handing Oklahoma State a loss.
