Utah Jazz Fall Short, Lakers Strike Gold In Luka Doncic’s Debut

LOS ANGELES – The Utah Jazz were on the wrong end of a blowout at Cypto.com Arena as the Los Angeles Lakers started the Luka Doncic era off on the right foot.
Los Angeles came out of the gates hot and never really cooled off. They ended the game shooting 54.3 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from three. Ironically, Doncic had the worst shooting performance of the starters as he finished with 14 points on 5/14 from the floor.
Lauri Markkanen and John Collins led the way for Utah with 17 points each. The Jazz will return home to host the Lakers and Clippers before enjoying eight days off for the All-Star break.
