Jazz Set NBA Record For Most Threes Made In A Calendar Month

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After making 20 three-pointers in their loss to the Denver Nuggets, the Utah Jazz now hold the NBA record for most threes in a calendar month.

In the month of January, the Utah Jazz made 285 threes, which beat the NBA record held by the 2016 Houston Rockets. The previous record was in December of 2016 when the Rockets made 279 triples. Utah made 20 or more triples eight times in January, including a franchise record 25 against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Jazz went 14-2 in January and ended it with a loss to the Denver Nuggets to snap their 11-game winning streak.

11 different players made a three-pointer in January for the Jazz and 7 made over 10. Jordan Clarkson had the most triples with 52, followed by Donovan Mitchell with 50, Mike Conley with 45 and Bojan Bogdanovic with 44.
Both Royce O’Neale and Joe Ingles had the fifth most threes with 32. Georges Niang is the last player in double figures with 18 three-pointers. Miye Oni had 5, while Elijah Hughes and Juwan Morgan had three apiece and Jarrell Brantley knocked one down against the Mavericks.
In those 16 games in January, the Jazz attempted 695 three-pointers and shot 41 percent with their 285 makes. The most attempts in one game during the month was 53 against Milwaukee when they set the franchise record for makes. They attempted 50 or more threes twice and over 40 attempts in 12 games.
The Jazz will look to start a new winning streak when they face the Detroit Pistons at Vivint Arena on Tuesday, February 2. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. MST and will be televised on AT&T SportsNet.
