Jazz Guard Jordan Clarkson Hits Transition Bucket To End Quarter

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson finished the first quarter with an And-1 layup before hitting the free throw to give the Jazz an early 24-23 lead.
Charlotte hosted the Jazz at the Spectrum Center on Friday, March 25.
Trent Forrest picked the pocket of Miles Bridges near half court, eventually chasing the loose ball down inside the Jazz three point line. With the first quarter clock winding down, Forrest found the trailing Jordan Clarkson for a layup and the foul as he was hit by Kelly Oubre Jr. on the shot.

Clarkson finished the first quarter with six points on 2-6 shooting.
On the season, Clarkson is averaging 16.1 points per game, down from the 18.4 he averaged in 2021 while winning the NBA’s Sixth-man of the year award.
The Jazz beat the Hornets 112-102 in mid-December but will be playing with a diminished roster in Charlotte as Bojan Bogdanovic and Danuel House Jr. remain out for tonight’s game. This is the sixth straight absence for Bogdanovic, and the fifth straight game missed due to injury by House Jr.
