Donovan Mitchell With Hot Start In First Quarter In Game 4 Against Nuggets

ORLANDO, Fla. – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell gave his team some much-needed offense in the first quarter in Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs against the Denver Nuggets.

Mitchell finished the first 12 minutes of the game with 13 points and 2 assists on 5 of 6 shooting from the field, one for one from the three point line and a perfect 2 for 2 from the free throw line in 9 minutes. The third-year guard scored the first seven points for Utah to start the game.
He assisted on five points as well, finding Georges Niang for an open three-pointer and set up Rudy Gobert for a dunk.
The Nuggets held a 36-33 at the end of the opening period.

The Jazz lead the series 2-1 after a 37-point victory in Game 3 on Friday. Former Jazzman Paul Millsap led the Nuggets with 9 points in the first quarter. Jamal Murray added 8 points and Jerami Grant chipped in 7.
For Utah, Jordan Clarkson knocked down two triples for six points. Gobert had 5 points and 5 rebounds. Royce O’Neale posted 4 points and 2 boards.
The Jazz shot 4 of 12 from the three point line for 33 percent and 12 of 25 from the field for 48 percent. Denver made 14 of their 25 attempts from the floor for 56 percent. They also went 4 for 9 from deep for 44 percent.
