Report: Former NL MVP To Play Against Salt Lake Bees

SALT LAKE CITY – Former NL MVP and current Colorado Rockies outfielder Kris Bryant plans to play against the Salt Lake Bees as a part of a rehab assignment for the Albuquerque Isotopes, according to The Athletic’s Nick Groke.
On Sunday, May 15, the Rockies reporter tweeted that Bryant would join Colorado’s Triple-A club for a pair of games against the Bees.
“Kris Bryant (back IL) will head to Salt Lake City to join the AAABQ Isotopes for games Tuesday and Wednesday. If all checks right, he’ll be back with the Rox on Friday…” Groke posted.
Salt Lake will host Albuquerque for a six-game homestand that begins on Tuesday, May 17.

Bryant, who is in his first season with the Rockies, is a four-time MLB All-Star, World Series champion, and 2016 National League Most Valuable Player.
The left fielder is currently working his way to return from a back injury that landed him on the injured list. He last played for Colorado on April 25.
In 15 games this season, Bryant hit .281 with 16 hits, 11 runs, four RBIs, and five walks.
This season, the Bees own a 19-16 record.

Salt Lake’s game on Tuesday night will start at 6:05 p.m. (MDT) and the Wednesday contest will have its first pitch at 11:05 a.m.
Both games will be aired on The Zone Sports Network.
