The second baseman with elite bat skills drove in a pair of runs in his Tuesday debut. Then roped his first Triple-A extra-base hits with a double and a home run in Salt Lake’s third consecutive victory over the visiting Omaha Storm Chasers on Thursday.
“I saw a hanging breaking ball and tried to put a good swing on it,” Moore said after his home run off The Ballpark at AFS batter’s eye in the fifth.
Angels fast-tracking Christian Moore
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Moore launched 61 home runs in three seasons of collegiate baseball with the Tennessee Volunteers.
In 2024, Moore helped lead the Volunteers to the program’s first national title. As a junior, he led all Division 1 players with 111 hits, including 34 long balls.
His explosive junior campaign helped the Angels feel comfortable selecting him eighth overall in the 2024 MLB draft.

A two-way star with the Gators, Caglione’s prodigious power and bat control have made him a top-ten prospect in all of baseball for the Kansas City Royals.
After hitting 35 homers and winning the John Olerud Award, given to the best two-way player in college baseball, his pitch selection and power have only improved since the draft.
He is slashing .321/.389/.565 with eight doubles, 11 homers, and 48 runs driven in this season.
