Tyler Huntley, Ty’Son Williams Activated For Today’s Ravens V. Steelers Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Baltimore Ravens activated former Utah Football quarterback Tyler Huntley from the practice squad alongside former BYU running back Ty’Son Williams.

Today’s game was originally slated for the evening of Thanksgiving but was postponed and rescheduled due to an outbreak of COVID-19 within the Ravens organization.

The NFL announced the most recent reschedule Monday after the Ravens placed starters Matthew Judon, Willie Snead and Mark Andrews on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The game has been rescheduled three times.

Although Baltimore also had four players return from that list, the team will still be severely short-handed.

The Ravens need Huntley and Williams because they are without several key players including starting quarterback Lamar Jackson and running backs Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins.

Jackson’s backup, Robert Griffin III will be taking snaps from a third-string center.

Tyler Huntley And Ty’Son Williams: NFL Journeys

Former Utah quarterback Huntley posted a stellar senior season last year with the Utes and was signed to an undrafted free-agent deal with the Ravens back in April. Huntley has spent the entire season on the practice squad learning from Jackson and Griffin III, but now, thanks to a 2020 season like no other, Huntley will dress with the team.

Williams came to BYU as a graduate transfer from South Carolina for the 2019 season. He posted an impressive game against Tennessee before suffering a season-ending knee injury against the Washington Huskies.

Like Huntley, he signed an undrafted free-agent contract with the Ravens in April.
