SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah quarterback Tyler Huntley entered the game late in the third quarter for the Ravens while Lamar Jackson was in concussion protocol.

Tyler Huntley finished the game for the Ravens after Lamar Jackson was ruled out due to concussion protocol. It was late in the third quarter of the AFC Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills had a 17-3 lead over the Ravens when Huntley entered the game. Lamar Jackson threw a interception to former Weber State and current Bills CB Taron Johnson who returned it for a 101-yard pick six earlier before Jackson’s injury.

Huntley came in on a third down play and nearly got the first down with his legs. Buffalo didn’t score and when the Ravens got the ball back, Huntley completed two passes but on fourth down, he overthrew Hollywood Brown. Had Huntley hit the receiver in stride, Brown would’ve ran untouched into the end zone.

On the third possession, Huntley led the Ravens into Buffalo territory. The Ravens faced third and 16 at midfield. Huntley was facing pressure when he ran near the line of scrimmage and threw a dart to Brown for the first down. Unfortunately, the Ravens turned the ball over on downs.

The former Utah quarterback finished the game 6 of his 13 pass attempts for 60 yards. He also ran the ball 3 times for 32 yards. It is the third game that Huntley has played in as the backup QB for the Ravens and his first playoff game.

Entering the game against Buffalo, Huntley completed three of his five pass attempts for 15 yards, while running the ball 10 times for 23 yards.

Buffalo will advance to the AFC Championship game and will battle the winner of Kansas City and Cleveland on Sunday, January 24.
