SALT LAKE CITY – With Philadelphia’s dynasty-halting Super Bowl win in New Orleans last week, the 2024 NFL season is officially in the books.
While the NFL season is over, it was a year to remember for Utah’s NFL locals. From seasoned veterans making playoff pushes to young players cementing their star-level talent, players with Utah ties left their mark all over the league in a big way.
Let’s look back at some of the best single-game performances from 2024.

Best Games From NFL Locals In 2024 Season
Fred Warner – 49ers Linebacker – BYU Football
Although it was a disappointing season for San Francisco, Warner still put up All-Pro numbers and was honored with his fifth Pro Bowl appearance.
The former Cougar’s best game of the season was in week two against the Minnesota Vikings.
In addition to nine total tackles (seven solo) and a sack, he forced three turnovers with two forced fumbles and an interception.

Tyler Huntley – Dolphins Quarterback – Utah Football
It was also an underwhelming season in Miami, mostly due to injuries. Because of a Tua Tagovailoa concussion, Huntley played in five games for the Dolphins.
Against the Browns just before the New Year, the former Ute balled out in a 20-3 win. He completed 22 of his 26 pass attempts for 225 yards and a touchdown.
He also scrambled for 52 yards and a score on the ground.
Tyler Huntley takes it in himself! TD @MiamiDolphins 🙌

Puka Nacua – Rams Wide Receiver – BYU Football
Nacua had his fair share of injuries in his sophomore campaign but that didn’t stop him from making an impact when he was on the field.
His best game of the year came on December 8 in a high-scoring win over the Bills, 44-42.
Nacua pulled down 12 receptions for 162 yards and a touchdown. He also had five rushes for 16 yards and a rushing score.

Bobby Wagner – Commanders Linebacker – Utah State Football
It was a fairytale season for Washington and Wagner was the defensive captain through it all.
It’s hard to pinpoint a singular best performance for the former Aggie as he was a consistent force all season long. However, in the Wild Card round against the Buccaneers, he really shined.
Wagner posted eight total tackles (five solo), 0.5 sacks, two stuffs, and a fumble recovery in the Commanders’ three-point win.
BOBBY WAGNER DIVES ON IT!!

Taysom Hill – Saints Tight End – BYU Football
Hill also battled through multiple injuries in 2024 but remained a Swiss army knife on offense for New Orleans.
On November 17 against Cleveland, he showed off that versatility.
He recorded 188 scrimmage yards on eight receptions for 50 yards and seven carries for 138 yards. He rushed for three touchdowns in the 35-14 win.

Rashid Shaheed – Saints Wide Receiver – Weber State Football
Unfortunately for the Saints, Hill wasn’t the only offensive star to be sidelined in 2024.
However, before going down with a season-0ending injury in October, Shaheed looked primed for a career year.
In Dallas early in the season, he caught four passes for 96 yards and a touchdown. He added 13 yards on the ground.

Jordan Love – Packers Quarterback – Utah State Football
Love went through his fair share of ups and downs last season.
He struggled with turnovers early in the season but broke that mold in week six against Arizona.
Love completed 22 of his 32 pass attempts for 258 yards and four touchdowns. He also took five rushes for 13 yards. Green Bay went on to win, 34-13.

Tyler Allgeier – Falcons Running Back – BYU Football
Allgeier took a backseat to Atlanta’s young star RB Bijan Robinson in 2024 but he remained one of the best backup options in the NFL.
In week six, he stole the show. The former Cougar took 18 rushes for 105 yards and a touchdown.
It was just the third time in his career he had rushed for 100 or more yards in a single game.

Tim Patrick – Lions Wide Receiver – Utah Football
Patrick returned to the gridiron after back-to-back missed seasons with lower body injuries. He also suited up for a new team for the first time in his career.
Understandably, it took a bit for him to find his legs. When he did, he was a serious red zone threat for the Lions.
In a narrow victory over Green Bay on December 5, the former Ute caught seven passes for 43 yards and two touchdowns.
Tim Patrick catches his first TD in nearly three years! 🙌#LocalsInTheNFL #OnePride #GoUtes #NFL @kslsports

Taron Johnson – Bills Defensive Back – Weber State Football
Johnson stepped up in a big way for the Buffalo secondary in 2024.
His best game came on November 10 in a 30-20 win over the Colts in Indianapolis.
Johnson recorded three solo tackles, one sack, two pass breakups, and an interception returned for a touchdown.
